Shared Work tax info

Employees who participated in the Shared Work program last year will need to file a 1099G from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR).

DLIR will not mail out this document. Participants will need to access the document online through the UInteract website you used to join the Shared Work Program. To access the form, follow the steps outlined below:

  • Sign in to the UInteract account you created when you joined the Shared Work Program.

  • Upon logging in, choose “View and Print 1099” from the menu options (see photo).

  • View and print the form for purposes of filing taxes.

If you do not have your user ID you will need to call (816) 889-3101 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for assistance.

DOLIR will mail you a postcard by the end of the month if you don’t have a verified email address or haven’t already accessed the form online.

You’ll still receive a mailed W-2 form from the Office of Administration as early as next week. W-2s will also be available on the Office of Administration’s Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal. If you have questions about these forms, please reach out to your Financial Services contact.

MoDOT employees share game day predictions, superstitions

This Sunday, the Chiefs will take the field against the Cleveland Browns for the NFL Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Like last year, MoDOT employees have their predictions about how the game will end and the Chiefs' chances at another Super Bowl victory.

Traffic Systems Supervisor Kelly Alvarez predicts a slow start for the Chiefs.

“Chiefs make a second-half comeback after letting the Browns take an initial lead,” Alvarez said.

She said she’d like to see the Chiefs play the Packers in the Super Bowl.

District Construction Engineer Brian Burger also predicts a close game.

“Chiefs keep game close until 4th quarter and then bring out the talent and win by 10,” Burger said.

He predicts that the Chiefs will play Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl and that Mahomes will take down Brady.

Senior Construction Inspector Matthew Watson said he thinks the game will be close and end with the Chiefs winning 38-31.

Transportation Project Manager Heather Barrows said she thinks the Chiefs will play Green Bay in the Super Bowl. She said she thinks the score of Sunday’s game will be 49-42 Chiefs.

But when it comes to football, superstitions are even more important than predictions.

“I received a Mahomes jersey for my birthday in August. I’ve worn it 10 times on game day, and Chiefs have won all 10,” Area Engineer Matt Killion said. “I know it’s the magic jersey that delivers wins, so I’ll be wearing it throughout the playoffs.”

And Killion isn’t worried about Covid impacting the Chiefs.

“I placed an invisible bubble around all Chiefs players so they can’t get Covid,” Killion said.

Contractor James Banhart said he drinks peanut butter whiskey every playoff game.

Contractor Neil Kornis also incorporates peanut butter whiskey in his gameday rituals.

“Last year, and so far this year, has worked well so I’ll be drinking Peanut Butter Whiskey, wearing my lucky Chiefs cap, and my Chiefs ‘Showtime!’ T-Shirt,” Kornis said.

Senior Safety Specialist Jim Taylor said he plans to “stare at an old picture of Marty Schottenheimer until my eyes water.”

Taylor said he does have Covid-specific resolutions, but he prefers to “keep them masked.”

By Sunday, no matter what your traditions or superstitions, by Sunday afternoon we will all be saying, “How ‘Bout Those Chiefs!”
